Bay To Breakers | Bay to Breakers costumes show off local creativity, humor at its finest

The serious runners of Bay to Breakers concentrated on beating their personal records for running the course, but the main attraction of the race is the costumed horde of people turning the race into their personal runway. The theme for this year's race was "Summer of Love" to celebrate the movement's 50th anniversary, but costumed "runners" — we'll use that term loosely — came in a wide array of outfits, from the political to, well, the downright weird.
