Aoi Matsuri Procession Along the Kamo River in Kyoto Japan.

Today (May 15-2017) the annual Aoi Matsuri (葵祭) paraded through the streets of Kyoto. It commences at the Imperial Palace going towards the Shimogamo shrine. Some rituals take place here and everyone gets a little rest and lunch. From here the Aoi Matsuri (葵祭) walks to the Kamigamo shrine the final stop of this event. Before reaching Kamigamo shrine they walk along the Kamo River. I believe this road is called Kamo Kaido. The good news about this spot though no traffic and green trees on both sides. Ideal for shooting pics and video.
