SAVE SOUTH AFRICA ORGANIZING 'THE BIGGEST MARCH ZUMA WILL EVER SEE' THIS FRIDAY: SIPHO PITYANA - South Africans from all walks of life took advantage of their lunch breaks and gathered at the Vuyisile Mini Square, in front of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's offices, for a protest march organised by the Save South Africa movement to call for President Jacob Zuma's resignation. This follows the President's decision to fire former Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan, and his deputy, who is also a former Eastern Cape MEC for Economic Development, Mcebisi Jonas, in his controversial Cabinet reshuffle last week. Jonas was expected to give the key note speech at the rally, but did not attend reportedly due to other committments. Still that did not stop a sizeable crowd - who, judging from their TShirts, were from diverse political affiliations that included the African National Congress (ANC), Democratic Alliance (DA), the Congress of the People, the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) and the Save South Africa, as well as different racial and religious backgrounds from gathering to hear what the organisers had to say. Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Executive Mayor, Athol Trollip, and his Deputy, Mongameli Bobani, also attended the rally with members of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Mayoral Committee. Addressing the gathering, former ANC MP, Judy Chalmers, said that she was there to add her voice to those, who want to save the soul of the ANC... Video compiled by Afikile Lugunya
