In this video, we’ll show you everything you need to know about images: how to upload and add your own images, customize and add links.
Images are a great way to bring your stunning website to life.
And there are a lot of ways to add images to your site. Click Add and select Image.
You can easily upload your own.
Don’t have exactly what you need? No problem. With Wix, there are 1000s of stunning, free images to choose from.
You can also check out Bigstock for high-quality photos, available for purchase. Buy them once and they’re yours forever.
You can even get images from your social channels - like Facebook, Instagram and more. Just choose the accounts you want to connect.
How to Add an Image
On the left here, click Add, select Image and go to one of the Image Collections.
Free From Wix has 1000s of free images - you can browse by category or search.
Select the image you want and click Add to Page.
Drag and drop your image anywhere you want on your website.
How to Upload Images
Click Add and select Image. Then, click on My Image Uploads.
Click Upload Images to…
Select the files from your computer and click Open.
Once your files are successfully uploaded, click Done.
Once you upload, they’ll be stored in My Images for whenever you need them.
Then, easily add them to your website. Just select the image you want and click Add to Page.
How to Customize Your Images
Click on the image to see all the different things you can do like change the image, customize its design, crop, add filters, animate and add a link. If you need any help, hit the Question Mark.
How to Change an Image on Your Website
To change an image, select it and click Change Image.
Select the one you want, and click Choose Image to replace it.
How to Crop an Image
Crop lets you put the focus where you want. To use crop, click on the image and choose Crop.
Use the slider to zoom in as much as you want. The blue square here shows how your image will appear.
When you’re happy with how it looks, click the Checkmark to crop.
How to Add Links to Images
To make an image clickable, select the image and click Link.
You can link your image to almost anything - different pages on your website, your contact info, or other websites - you decide.
To link to a different page on your website, select Page/Anchor and click the drop down menu HERE to choose where you want visitors to go.
Click Done and you’re good to go.
Preview to see how your website looks and double check that your link works.
