There's a few things I'd like to address about my video, such as song choice. I chose this song because I felt the lyrics fit perfectly, but we all have our opinions. ^^ I know Heathers has been one of my favorite musicals for a long while now, and I felt as if a speed paint for my favorite character was long overdue.
I had trouble trying to figure out what emotion to display in this piece. At first I had her with this sort of evil grin, but I felt that was too.. evil.. That would be a grin I'd give to Heather Chandler or something. So then I change it to an inquisitive grin, but it still didn't feel right with me, so I just made her happy.
I would've made her sad or some other kind of "negative" expression, but I felt that I wanted to be different than the normal, and most people draw her with this poor little melancholy expression that breaks my heart. I figured that since she's always so sad, why not switch it up a bit?
