How to beat cheap/brutal characters in mugen with a normal character. Step 1: Become good at the fighting game genre. Step 2: Learn everything about the characters you use and what they can do in certain situations. Know their strengths and weaknesses. Step 3: Keep fighting the brutal/cheap character with your normal character and lose over and over until you find a pattern and a certain move that works on them. Or realize that your character really has no tools for the match up and switch to another character. Some characters requires luck to beat and you just have to deal with it. Spam if you must. People look down upon on spamming but if it works you have no reason not to do it.
