Roosevelt High School Marching Roughriders from Des Moines, Iowa, at the 37th Annual Valleyfest in West Des Moines, Iowa, on October 8, 2016. Musical Program: Music of STYX with selections of Mr. Roboto, Lady, Come Sail Away. Caption awards of Outstanding Percussion in Class 4A and Outstanding Percussion of Dayshow. Sixth place in class 4A with a score of 76.0. Directors: Treg Marcellus, David Steinke Drum Majors: Miranda Gruber, Catie Mullen, Anne Beeman, Kennedy Lewis Band Size: 196 Music composed by Dennis DeYoung Music arranged by Steve Shanley The 2016 Roughrider Marching Band is the largest band in the school’s history. The band performs and competes around Central Iowa in parades, competitions, and games.
