A&Z #331 – Atlas vs Gus's Mini Hot Dog Challenge in Watervliet, New York!! (2015 Eastern Tour – Day #47 / Challenge #45) Hey everybody! Day #47 of my 2015 Eastern USA & Canada Tour and for this food challenge, I'm at Gus's Hot Dogs in Watervliet, New York. I will be taking on Gus's Mini Hot Dog Record Challenge which involved breaking a record that had stood since 2004!! I had to eat over 46!!
Gus's Mini Hot Dog Record Challenge ($.85/EA):
Gus's is famous for their delicious mini hot dogs which are about 4.5" long and they are served with "the works." Each dog is topped with mustard, onions, and "meat sauce." The challenge is to break the current record by just one mini hot dog within the 1 hour time limit. Before I got there, the record was 45 mini hot dogs which was a record that had stood since 2004!! Therefore I had 1 full hour to finish 46 mini hot dogs. Winners of the challenge get all their hot dogs free, a free Gus's t-shirt and hat, and they get their photo and name posted up on a wall inside the restaurant. If you want to beat the challenge now (my current record), you must eat 51 mini hot dogs within the 1 hour time limit.
