Do I need to use Angelus 2-Soft on canvas and fabric sneakers?
It is not 100% necessary to use 2-Soft on canvas or mesh parts—Angelus paint will adhere beautifully on its own. However, mixing Angelus paint with 2-Soft in a 1:1 ratio is highly recommended if you want the fabric to feel soft like a factory soft fabric and make the painted material completely launderable. (Note: When using 2-Soft, you must heat-set it with a heat gun at 300°F for 3-5 minutes).
