Grinding my compost up to give it more surface area for the bacteria to work on, that way it will breakdown faster. Grinding your compost is an awesome way to also increase the air flow and get rid of pockets that have gone anaerobic. Compost grinding also helps to cut down on any smell and blends the materials together very well.
