"If you drink water from this river, all your problems will go away," says one boy
BattaBox presenter Adeola visits the sacred river in Ejirin Ekiti state. The river has a fish that can never be killed or eaten and it is believed that the miracle river can bring goodness to anyone or cure any sickness.
"If you sprinkle the river water in your shop, customers will come," says another guy by the river.
But also there is a famous festival in the village every year, where virgins have to swim in the sacred river.
"The women swim to the palm tree and dance around it," says one guy by the river
"The girls step on the crocodile," replies another guy
Also there is a myth that the fish isn't camera friendly, but if you are watching and seeing a fish, then the villagers are wrong.
