Kobe Bryant: I never heard of Michael Jordan

 

Kobe Bryant on growing up in Italy, why he never heard of Michael Jordan and learning Magic Johnson contracted HIV. Bryant says his experience growing up was out of a movie. His father played professional basketball in Italy where NBA games were not televised, so his grandfather would tape the games and send them overseas so he could watch them. Because of this, Bryant did not know who Michael Jordan was until he returned to the United States when he was 13.
