The Stubaital Bahn is a semi-urban railway line that is part of the Innsbruck public transport (IVB) in Innsbruck, Austria. It is denoted by the letters STB (Stubaital Bahn). It connects Innsbruck main station to the village of Fulpmes which is high up in the Stubai Valley. The first station on this line is Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (Innsbruck main-station) where all the long distance trains halt. From here the line uses the common tram tracks of Innsbruck till it reaches the Stubaital station which is one of the main depots of the Innsbruck public transport. From there the branch line begins and the STB railway starts ascending the mountains. It passes the villages of Natters, Mutters, Kreith, Telfes and finally reaches its destination Fulpmes. This line is a single line section but it has passing loops at some of the stations where the train timings are co-ordinated perfectly to cross each other. The railway line is a very scenic route and gives a great view of the Tyrol mountains around Innsbruck. The trains they use are 5-section sleek low-floor Bombardier trams which are also used as the normal trams in Innsbruck city. They are painted a dark red in colour and look very nice in contrast to the beautiful green countryside. The frequency of trains on this route is every half an hour. But every train does not go all the way from Innsbruck to Fulpmes, half the trains termintate at the village of Kreith. In my VIDEO compilation, the descripton is as follows:- 1. A photo of a STB train that has terminated at Kreith station and will head back down soon. 2. A descending train slowly departs from Kreith station and heads towards Innsbruck city on a pleasant evening. You can hear the distinct sound of the crickets and other insects. 3. A train climbs up the curve through the main village of Mutters. You can see the beautiful Austrian Alps in the background. 4. A train glides down towards Innsbruck city, curving magnificintely on the way. 5. Another train going towards Innsbruck after it has departed from Kreith station. It was little foggy that day. 6. A photo of a train that has left Mutters on its way down to Innsbruck. I hope you enjoyed watching this small, cute train on a beautiful railway line surrounded by the magnificent Austrian mountains.
