TRIGGER WARNINGS: blood, gore, horror, murder, guns, mental hospitals, angst, spooky scary, AU material

ABOUT } the story behind.
Based loosely off of SFR Triangle Murders AU. (here: http://starfleetrambo.tumblr.com/tagged/gf+crime+au) I say loosely because I don’t know what exactly the whole AU’s story is, just the overall plot. And thus I tweaked it a bit into my own interpretation of the AU for the sake of the video.
If you don’t know what the AU is, than gather round naughty children it’s story time! So basically, Mabel is a detective working this case (the triangle murders) and Dipper (and Bill… Bipper maybe? Not totally sure??) are the killers. Now that’s like the gist of it, cause I don’t know the extents of the plot, like I said for the sake of this video I tweaked it a bit. This video follows that but I added some things of my own to fit the song better, such as: Dipper isn’t aware that he is killing people. He has these blacks out and “night terrors” where he is seeing what is happening but he can’t move or intervene. For a while he thought they were just crazy dreams, but as it progresses and becomes a nightly thing, and he begins hearing news reports of murder victims piling up all across town, he begins to wonder if his “dreams” aren’t just dreams. Little does he know that Bill’s possessing him and using him to do his bidding. Dipper tries talking some sense into the evil dorito but Bill is an arrogant bastard who doesn’t listen. Of course.
From that point Dipper slowly begins to go insane, hearing voices and seeing things that aren’t there (such as blood on his hands and all over his clothes). He becomes so far gone that when Bill starts hanging around outside of his dreams, Dipper doesn’t even care. The thing is, no one can see Bill but Dipper so everyone around him thinks the boys insane when he’s talking to thin air. By the time Mabel catches on, Dipper’s already lost his mind and has no desire to fight Bill, instead he numbs himself and convinces himself that he enjoys it. Just sit back and enjoy the night terrors instead of kicking and screaming against forces he can’t defeat.
After Dipper is arrested, he is put into a psych ward because he swears “demons made him do it”. This is where the beginning of the video starts. His therapy sessions are being recorded, which is what you see where the singer is talking about “these terrors”. All the while, the flashing images of different places and people are Dipper’s past reminiscing. Some are of him in the ward, some doing the murdering, and others of childhood memories with Mabel before things went to shit. In the end Dipper is sentenced to death because the doctors/judges and even Mabel don’t believe his stories. “Talking evil demon triangle? Yeah, right.” Only after he is dead does Mabel review the recordings of Dipper’s therapy and notice a strange triangular shadow constantly hovering behind her brother… He wasn’t lying.

This is the longest FMV/MMV I've ever made O..O
When I started this I was like: “da fuck am I even doing?” because all I wanted to do was edit the speaking parts and try animating the pictures enough to give it a living feel. I hadn’t the intention to build a story out of it, or take it any further than a few seconds in the beginning just to mess around with animation. BUT as far as I am concerned, I love the outcome. I didn’t know it would turn out so good x’D (not to be all “go me” but man I am really proud of myself rn haha)
I tend to like making videos with stories behind them, I am finding, and I feel like I took that to the next level this time around. I am really surprised I was able to pull this off o.o Seeing how this video turned out makes me want to try taking on some other AU’s and forming them into story-videos. I am thinking maybe some Rev!au, or Cipher Twins AU? Who knows!
