Tension mounted on Tuesday (30/4) outside the Muslim-held town of Celic in northeastern Bosnia where about 400 Serbs armed with handguns, sticks and stones blocked about 150 Muslim refugees from returning to the Serb-held town of Koraj. UN and IFOR officials said the Serbs were gathered on their side of a boundary that runs just east of Celic and were refusing to let the Muslims through. Four Russian IFOR tanks and several US and Russian military vehicles were blocking two roads at the site. A Russian commander was refusing to let anyone cross the 100 metres of no man's land separating the two groups.
