In this talk, Monica Dogra walks us through her experiences as an actress and how she found the popular perceptions of beauty to be aberrated. She raises the question of emphasis of beauty on physical appearance in case of women. Art is seen by her as a medium to create your own space in this universe. Monica Dogra is an American singer and actress of Indian origin. She is one half of the Mumbai based electro rock duo Shaa'ir and Func. She made her acting debut in the Bollywood film Dhobi Ghat and is the host of The Dewarists, a musical collaborative show.
