Question: Is Programming the Only Way to Be Successful in IT?

Is programming only way to go to have a career in IT industry ? When I said that I would like to chose database(Oracle sql developer) as my career option, I was told by many that I do not stand much chances in case of searching a job, as database admin roles are few whereas, there will be lot of opening for programmers. I'm really bad at programming and am so worried about it, I just want to know if I really have alternatives apart from programming or not. -Santosh D.
