Jota de Calanda - Raquel Velasco & David Elvira

This video shows dancers Raquel Velasco and David Elvira performing the "Jota de Calanda" at the big, annual, regional jota contest held each year at Zaragoza, Spain. It was held on October 5 this year. Raquel and David are wonderfully gifted and attractive dancers. Although they finished in second place, to my untrained eye, their performance was at least the equal of the winning one. Other wonderful aspects of this performance--Sergio Aso and the Rondalla give a touch of magic to the musical accompaniment, and José Luis Urbên sings so beautifully to it. Here's hoping you enjoy Raquel and David's beautiful dance!
