Canada: The Train Journey through the Rockies

Over a century ago the trans-continental railway was built across 3,000 miles of rugged terrain opening up Canada to settlement and tourism. Today it is considered one of the greatest train journeys in the world and the stretch of track most vividly remembered is the section through the Rocky Mountains. We explore Jasper National Park in Alberta before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer and travelling to Vancouver in British Columbia stopping overnight at Kamloops. En route we experience the spectacular mountain scenery, gorges, wild rivers and spot bald eagles and osprey nests.
