Stargazing with telescopes is fast transitioning from being just a backyard hobby to becoming highly sought-after public events. Like any fast growing sensation, the connoisseurs are usually better than the actual practitioners at distinguishing between well planned and well performed events and those that just happen. Though connoisseurs of public telescope events, may not be able to articulate why like the "Bryce Canyon setup," they will be the first to tell you Bryce Canyon's astronomy offerings live up to their reputation. For indeed as Marcus Aurelius famously advocated “The secret of all victory lies in the organization of the non-obvious.” So, this 45-minute video, a condensed version of one of The Dark Rangers more popular telescope-operation-for-the-public, classroom courses, is NOT for them the connoisseur, but for you the public telescope operator and organizer. By watching and re-watching you'll be presented with subtle but effective and easily to emulate telescope-operator techniques that have helped Bryce Canyon and its Dark Rangers gain a global reputation for astronomy excellence. Some of the ideas you'll be able to implement in your astronomy endeavors immediately. Others will undoubtedly require more work in adapting to your needs. And though it would be highly surprising, some may not work at all. But you won't know that (and neither will we) until you watch, experiment, and give us some feedback.
