Cox Tee Dee .010 on a Cal Smith "Blunderbus" Free Flight Replica

More converted VHS footage. This time, of my replica "Blunderbus"...a Cal Smith Free-Flight design I found in a copy of the 1965 American Modeler Annual. I had an orphaned wing from a Sig "Cub" rubberband model, and decided to scale a fuselage to match it for a single channel radio-controlled model. I built the wing rails a bit longer than necessary to allow the wing to be repositioned in the manner of the old balsa gliders...letting me fine-tune it's pitch trim. It used a Cannon Micro System with a single servo for rudder control. The resulting model appeared to be sized perfectly for one of Cox's tiny ,010 Tee Dee engines, and it DID turn out to be a perfect combination. Blunderbus turned out to be a near-everyday flyer, and I think at one time, I may have owned the highest time .010 in the country! My faithful Airplane Dog, Chelsea, loved escorting it to each of it's landings.
