This is part 1 of 3 of trains on the Sandpatch from 5/29-5/31/14. We start the morning at Hyndman, PA where we see Q64028 with CSX C40-9W# 9038 leading accompanied by CSX C40-8W#7691 HLCX GP38-2#3816 CSX GP40-2#6108 After Q64028 passed by, Q35528 takes off with CSX C40-8W#7826 leading and trailing is CSX C40-8W#7823 CSX GP38-2#2654 Now moving to Fairhope, PA the same train is seen climbing the grade. Listen to that geep! We now move to Keystone, PA and catch Q35228 cruising by with CSX C40-8W#7808 CSX C40-8#7568 Rail Switching Service(RSSX)GP10#1078 Now moving to Glade City, PA Q36826 is splitting traffic for a bit while it passes. A nice strong mechanical bell makes it self heard still in this age of electronics. Power on the head end is- CSX C40-9W#9051 OFOX SD40M-2#2788 CSX AC44CW@130 The pushers running as B25329- CSX C40-8W#7382 CSX C40-8#7510 The last train in part 1 of 3 is Q39428 being assisted by helper B24629 with SD60I#8738 leading. The train has CSX AC44CW#469 CSX C40-8#7614 CSX GP30 slug#2259 CSX GP40-2#6471 CSX GP38-2#2680 I hope you enjoyed this first part. There are still many trains to see from this trip.
