New Norcia

Trip out to New Norcia, a Benedictine monastery (est March 1847) and located 132km north of Perth. This is a bit of a different video from me but I hope you like it. Thumbs up to Kylie who ran with me that day, New Norcia has buildings in a Spanish style of architecture including old boarding schools, the Abbey Church, an old mill, a wine press, a hotel, and the monastery itself. It also has a quality bakery (built in 1886) aswell as olive oil production and locally made wines, port and ale. By the 1990's all but the Hotel and Monastery where closed and a most of the Building re-purposed for Tourists. Several buildings have fallen into disrepair due to the clay bricks crumbing apart.
