This is a time lapse video of a pastel painting I did for a written demo and a lesson. . The goal of the demo is to share my approach for painting a pastel without a wet underpainting. It is a quick, simple and expressive approach to a pastel painting. In the demo I use soft pastels on Canson Mi-Teinte pastel paper. To accompany this video, I have created a step by step written demo complete with photos available as a digital download in my Etsy shop for $6 https://www.etsy.com/listing/172290523/pastel-painting-lesson-demo-pdf-a-simple I invite you to visit my daily painting blog. I post new work and painting tips every day! http://www.kemstudios.blogspot.com Music: 'Healing' Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)
