A beautiful field of chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans, or garbs) next to the USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council headquarters on the Idaho/Washington border. These fields are located in an area called The Palouse; a 4,000 square mile region of rolling, asymmetrical hills composed of loess, that stretches from north of Lewiston to almost the southern end of Lake Coeur d'Alene, extending across the state line to Colfax and Spokane.
