DIY how to remove lath and plaster part 2 Lath

 

This is a video to show what we learned in our demolition phase of a remodel of an old store into a house. We found that the removal of debris is easier if you tear down the plaster and remove it, and then tear out the lath, because the lath boards tend to not want to be shoveled with the plaster, and its hard to dig through the plaster to get the lath out. the only exception to this method is the ceilings where it works fastest to tear both lath and plaster down together do to the overhead difficulty of the work.
