*Here is a little bit of backstory to what we've missed:
~The oil scam deal obviously came to a head, and Dan Rooney somehow figured out what was going on. There was a gathering on the Star the night before this clip. Dan and Luke argued, probably because Dan implicated the Corso's and Holly, and Luke didn't want to believe he'd been swindled (especially by Holly.) Dan was stabbed, Luke, Robert & Holly disappeared. Dan's attacker is unknown, but all of the evidence points to Luke.~

Dan is in critical condition. Everyone is getting ready to head for NYC to watch Johnny's fight. Rick & Lesley stay behind in Port Charles to deal with Blackie & tend to Dan. Ruby won't believe that Luke had anything to do with Dan's stabbing. Rick speaks on Blackie's behalf at his court hearing. The mugging victim agrees to take restitution. Blackie is released into Rick's custody. Blackie takes Rick to where he has been staying; a little hole in the wall inside a machine shop owned by Dernley. Rick takes him home. Lesley is furious. Rick softens her up. Everyone listens to the fight on the radio. Lesley shows a spark of maternal instinct towards Blackie. Scotty's company enters through a window (she's baaa--aack!). Johnny wins the fight with a timely KO...
