Despite a superb goal by Glenn Hoddle, England are beaten 2-1 at home by Spain in an entertaining friendly at Wembley in March 1981. England go into the game having beaten Spain twice in the previous year but goals from Satrustegui and Zamora give the away side victory, as they continue their preparations for hosting the following year's World Cup finals.
