Saturday July 13th. A busy day in Scranton as three trains depart. First Delaware Lackawanna Portland Turn 98 with three Alco's! followed by Steamtown's "Scranton Express" powered by a Lackawanna EMD F-3 #664. Finally a Steamtown train bound for Tobyhanna powered by Nickel Plate Road EMD GP-9 #514. Note the classic sound of Alco 251, and EMD 567 prime movers, along with the classic sound of the Leslie A-200 single note airhorns which most first generation power were delivered with. Ed K.
