Nora The Piano Cat Meets the Maestros...

In August of 2012, Mindaugas Piecaitis, composer of CATcerto (a Nora-inspired concerto) traveled to the United States for the first time to meet his muse. The CATcerto had its world premiere with Piecaitis conducting the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra in Lithuania in June of 2009. During the Maestro's three-day visit with Nora and her personal assistants, Betsy and Burnell, a second conductor arrived from Maryland to meet the composer and, of course, Nora. His name is Richard Rosenberg, Artistic Director of the National Music Festival. He has conducted CATcerto four times to date, including the U.S. premiere in Hot Springs Arkansas. He was accompanied by his wife, Caitlin Patton, who is the Executive Director of the National Music Festival.
