Nikolas admits to Emily that he fell in love with her. They KISS!!! Emily tells Nikolas how much she loves him. They kiss again. Nikolas is so happy! I love him! He is amazed to find out what real love feels like. But wait... Emily puts the brakes on and tells him that there is no way they can happen. Nikolas doesn't understand. Emily explains that it's not fair to Zander. Nikolas thinks they should honor they way they feel. Have I mentioned that I love Nikolas? Because I do. I especially love emotional Nikolas. He's yummy. Emily says she loves Zander and wants to stay with him. Oh my poor Nikolas. He is upset and crying, but he tells Emily she has to follow her heart. Beautiful, emotional, crying, snotty Nikolas says he will always love Emily. Another kiss before Emily tells Nikolas he has to go. Nikolas opens the door to find (Surprise!) Zander on the other side. Oooh, Zander knows something's up. The LOOK that he gives them both. Zander tells Emily that he hates Nikolas. Emily admits that Nikolas came to tell her that he loves her. Emily explains that she told Nikolas that she loves Zander. Zander is relieved. Nikolas is home at Wyndemere and he is very upset. Still in Emily's room, Zander pulls out a ring and proposes to Emily. Gasp!
I'm torn! I adored Zander for years and years, with and especially without Emily. Emily returned and I wanted them back together so Zander would be happy again. But alas, Nikolas had to be gallant and wonderful and make Emily fall in love with him. So no matter how much I want Nikolas and Emily to be together, a part of me will always think Zander got the short end of the stick.
