What is an Eagle Owl? - The Worlds Biggest Owl is the Eurasian Eagle Owl #eagleowl #owls

The European Eagle Owl is the world largest Owl seen here in a training flight at The Raptor Foundation in Cambridgeshire. It was messing the trainer about quite a bit and wouldn't do as it was expected to do. It was hilarious. The Eurasian Eagle Owl or European Eagle Owl as described by the handler in the clip is one and the same creature. (Bubo bubo) The Eagle Owl's are some of the largest Owl's in the world. As their name suggests, they can be found in many northern hemisphere countries, including the whole of Europe and most of Asia. Both names are in common usage. The Eagle Owl has a number of subspecies including the Indian Eagle Owl.
