Hiked up the Big Hill to capture an Eastbound monster Intermodal and Autorack train passing through the 40 meter long "Nose Tunnel" in Mount Stephen and then through the Mount Stephen snowshed. This train has a CP Gevo and CEFX AC4400 up front followed by 67 intermodal cars, then a CP AC4400, 64 more intermodal cars, another CP Gevo, 30 more intermodal cars and 23 autoracks follwed by one more CP AC4400. Thats 5 locos and 194 cars! The road on the right side is the TransCanada Highway. The snowshed is near the top of the Big Hill which is the climb East Bound out of Field,B.C. on the way to the lower Spiral Tunnel. The views switch from above the snowshed on the beginning to trackside to catch the mid-train helpers. Shot in March 2012 while in the area for SuperTrain in Calgary. Excuse the wind noise, bit windy up there.
