Sita Wheel wash

Sita approached us with a problem they had at a busy land fill site (200 vehicles a day approx) which had a wheelwash, but it wasn't satisfying their environmental requirements, we were asked to visit the site to see the issue at first hand and come up with a solution. Following the initial inspection we established that the site exit was extremely muddy and on a slope. The mud was very dense and the current solution (a concrete dipping pool drive through system) wasnt suitable to cope with it. Our advice, due to the mud density and large quantities of vehicles passing through, was to run two different wheel-washes in conjunction with each other. Our drive through wheelwash, as an unpowered drive through system, but also incorporates rumble road sections to vibrate and agitate the chassis of the vehicle to shake the larger solids off of the wheels and into the water. We used this as a pre-wash, the vehicle then passed through one of our fully self contained 'Enviro Wheelwash' systems. This is a self powered jet washing system which sprays the chassis and wheels at various angles with large volumes of water at high pressure to blast the remaining dirt and debris off of the wheels and chassis. read more at http://garic.co.uk/2012/06/08/sita-wheel-wash/
