I cant believe that it is the first day of school. The swimming, the sun, the beach, the vacation, the sleeping in late, its all gone. Now, we have tests, and homework, and projects and when its October, we will hardly have the sun. I sat in my bed for a minute and then got up to get ready.

I walked into the school and saw everyone getting ready to go to class. Everyone looked sad and tired, and then I saw by best friend, Demi.
"Selena!" she screamed!
"Hey! How was Bahamas?" I asked. She had been in the Bahamas for the whole month of August.
"It was awesome! But, I missed you so much! Can you believe it? Last year of high school! I think I might actually miss this place." She said linking arms with mine and walking.
"I know. It will be a hard year, but it will be all worth it." I replied.
"And did you hear?" she asked. What? What was she talking about?
"About what?" I said.
"About the new kid. Justin Bieber. He's famous."
"Oh, I never heard about him."
"WHAT!" she almost screamed," He is soo hot. You'll see. You might even be able to get over Nick."
" I broke up with HIM Demi, and Im over him." I replied. I broke up with him at the begininning of the summer. I just didn't feel the same way about him like when we met.
"Of course, Sel. Anyways, you'll see him around." she said.
"I don't want to see him around. Im not interested and I bet he isn't either. He would probably rather date Miley Cyrus or something."
"You never know. I will try first and if it doesn't work ou between us, then you can try. Okay?" she said.
And just to make her happy, I said okay.
"BRIIINNGG" the bell went. Oh crap! Im going to be late for class. I started to run down the hallway when I bumped into someone.
"Sorry." I said and started to gather my books. He bent down to help me, I looked up to see who it was. I didn't know him.
"No, no. That was my fault." he said. I stood up straight.
"Hi, Im Justin. Justin Bieber." He said and then grinned when he said his last name. Wait, was he the famous guy Demi was talking about?
"Hi, I'm Selena. And, I'm also late for class. Nice to meet you, Justin. Sorry, Bye!" I said walking off.
"Wait," he said," You don't know who I am?"
"Well, I just heard about you today." I said.
"Oh, Well. I will see you later I guess." And he walked the opposite way. He was nice, he didn't act the way I expected him to act.

"Hola Sel." Demi said as we were walking to lunch.
"Hey." I said smiling.
"So, I met him. It didn't work out, so you can go for him." she said.
"I already met him." I said.
"What? When? Why? How?" she said turning to me.
"Well, I was rushing to History class and we bumped into each other. He just helped me pick my things up. Nothing much." I replied.
"Nothing much! Are you kidding me? He totally likes you." She said with one eyebrow up.
"No, he doesn't. I dont like him. So it wont work."
"Of course... because you still haven't gotten over-"
I interrupted," For the last time! I broke up with him!"
"Okay." she said putting her hands up in surrender.
We had a seat at a lunch table and started to eat cafeteria food. Mashed potatoes with gravy. Gross.
"Hey." I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around and Justin was there smiling.
"Uh.. Hi." I replied.
"Do you mind if I sit?" he asked.
"Im going to go sit with.... Heather." Demi said. Demi hates Heather. Why would she sit with them? She has been trying to get into their "group" forever. But, it never worked. Demi walked off and had a seat.
"Hey." He said grinning.
I laughed. "Hi, whats up?"
"Nothing." he said. He has so many tables to sit at and he chose to sit with the loser of the school.
"Cool. Why are you sitting with me? I mean, I'm not exactly what you call popular" I said.
"I don't care if your not popular, you treat me like a normal kid." he said looking at me in the eyes.
"Oh, okay." I said looking down at the disgusting food on my plate.
Out of no-where a random kid came up to us and said," Hey JB. Why dont you sit with us? I mean, why sit with her. No offense but she's kinda a loser, man." he laughed with all his friends. Then, his girlfriend ,Heather came up and hugged him and then started at Justin.
"She's not a loser." Justin said defending me.
"Uh, yeah she is. I mean look at her hair. It has no volume!" Heather said. Justin looked at me with sorry eyes. I couldn't take this. Justin would never be able argue forever. I got up , took my bags and left. I didn't even look back to see if everyone was staring, or laughing. I just needed to get out of there.
