Jim Denevan on being an artist

Just recently i was visiting "Outstanding in the field" a concept by Jim Denevan, an well known landscape artist. Who uses natures landscapes, like deserts, beaches and fields of ice as his canvas. The concept of "Outstanding in the Field" is simple, you take biologic ingredients, a ambiance which could serve as a beautiful backdrop for a Oprah show and have a great chef cook up something nice. Then you eat it, together with the finest wines and some rather nice and interestng people. In this case it was Jim himself with whoem I had a nice talk on being an artist and what it takes from yourself and your surroundings.
