The information in this video is drawn from the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Presidential Elections Act, the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act and the Internal Security Act, all with the latest revisions and amendments as of August 2011. The Voter Ed Initiative is non-partisan, non-governmental and voter-oriented. It is aimed at the education, empowerment and engagement of the Singapore electorate. We do not receive any funding, but are just ordinary Singaporeans who have volunteered our efforts and resources. This is because we believe that a responsible electorate is one in which voters make informed choices, and which understands politics as a sustained engagement -- and not an event that happens once in 5 or 6 years.
