This years Whit Friday Band Contest took place in Mid June on a cold damp evening but it didn't dampen the spirit of the event. This is just a glimpse of the evening when 54 bands marched down the main street of Uppermill just one of the Saddleworth villages. Saddleworth and Tameside have many venues where the bands play in front of unseeing judges.
