Due to unfortunate circumstances, Locura had to drop his title as champ due to an illness, so the vacant New Wave Heavyweight Championship was not put on the shelf for very long. Ryan Kidd immediately announced after winning his #1 contender's match earlier in the night against Joey Barone, that he will compete for the title in the main event of "Parental Discretion Advised." Little did he know who he was facing, he was in for quite a "big" surprise.
