Sonny and Brenda - "I need you", 1995

 

Brenda walks into Luke's and sees Lily with her arms wrapped around Sonny. Brenda flips out and wants to know what the hell is going on. Sonny tells her that he can't relive it. She warns him that if he needs someone in the middle of the night that he loves and trusts, he should call Lily. He screams at her not to go, telling her he needs her. They sit down and Sonny opens up about Mike. Brenda starts to compare Mike to her father and gets jealous that he told Lily first. Sonny gets pissed and storms off. Brenda goes upstairs and apologizes and asks if she can stay with him. He agrees and begins to tell her about Mike. Brenda tells him that maybe there is still time to work things out with his father and that Mike can't hurt him because Sonny has her. She tells him about her father, Harlan, and how he never loved her. All of a sudden, Sonny gets an epiphany that he is giving Mike too much power. He jumps on top of Brenda excitedly and starts to kiss her.
