At the 1993 Texaco Cup at Seafair, the boats lined up for the Final Heat, and right out of the gate, the battle for first was between the Miss Budweiser with Chip Hanauer, and the Winston Eagle with Mark Tate. The Winston Eagle kept a slight lead over the Bud for the first two laps until the boat's right sponson lifted up midway down the backstretch and went over, landing flat on its head, and then flipping back over.
