Maiden flight of scratchbuilt 9MM Depron Pitts Challenger. Success in that it landed on the wheels both landings! Don't seem to get much airspeed at WOT. Seems like the CG is off, it's right around 1" from the leading edge of the bottom wing, where I have read is recomended. Maybe I don't have enough prop with the 9x6 Master Airscrew. I'll probably try a 10x6 on my next attempt. Have to repair the fixed portion of the rudder and glue the tires on the rims. All in all a good first flight. Will have to keep working on the templates for painting now that it is still in one piece after the first flight. Didn't know if I would have pieces big enough to paint after the flight!
