HOW TO CLEAN LOCOMOTIVE WHEELS ON THE TRACK

This video shows how to clean the wheels of a locomotive while it is still on the track. This method ensures that no dirt gets inside the drive system as can happen when turning the loco upside down to clean wheels. The dirt on the wheels is disolved by the rubbing alcohol as they spin on the cloth. Always make sure you clean the track when you are finished if you do this on your layout. Clean wheels and clean track are essential for reliable operation.
