From episode 28 of "The Letter People" - Long Sounds The Letter Girls, tired of being in every word, but only having one sound, decide to have two sounds: a short sound and long sound. This, along with the success of The Squoosh Song, prompts Miss E to write a new song about the vowels' two sounds.
