Björk - Utopia FIRST IMPRESSIONS Album Review (The Record Review)

Björk’s latest album Utopia is an epic exploration of maternity, biology and love. Clocking in at 1 hour and 11 minutes, it’s a long one but well worth the time to hear Björk at the top of her game. Utopia was conceived by Björk and Arca, and this collaboration shapes a gorgeous evolution in discography, following on from the pain of Vulnicura. I had so many thoughts about this album that I just wanted to get them out there in this First Impressions review! I run through the artwork, then through the album itself track-by-track, so feel free to grab your own copy and listen along! What do you think of Utopia? Do you agree with my interpretations? Did have an entirely different view on the album? Or somewhere in between? I’d love to know your thoughts! And if you’d like me to review this album in a more thesis-driven video like my previous album reviews let me know! Or if there are any upcoming albums that you’d like to see reviewed in this style! xx Utopia - Björk Tracklisting: Arisen My Senses Blissing Me The Gate Body Memory Losss Utopia Saint Courtship Sue Me Tabula Rasa Claimstaker Paradisia Features Creatures Future Forever Current Listening Set-Up: Turntable: Audio Technica LP120 Amp: Marantz Speakers: Wharfdale bookshelf speakers and stands ———— BLOG: http://catiewahwah.com TWITTER: @catie_wahwah INSTAGRAM: catiewahwah SNAPCHAT: catiewahwah FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/therecordreview TUMBLR: http://catiewahwah.tumblr.com/
